Just had Shire Driveways and Landscapes install a driveway and patio in Caramel Latte resin bound gravel. We are very pleased with the result it really has lifted the kerb appeal of the property. The old concrete slab and stones were looking tired and shabby now it looks absolutely amazing. Simon and his team all worked very hard to achieve this final result and many thanks to them all. Five-star service from Simon and the Shire team began with my first phone call, when he actually answered. Other landscaping companies had stolidly ignored my phone and contact form messages. How rude!

Simon came round the same day, and skilfully designed a porcelain-paved garden, easily chasing away all thoughts of us replacing our split-level wooden decking with composite.

His polite and friendly, professional and skilled team have left us with a stylish outdoor living space to be proud of, and I can’t wait to spend the summer enjoying it and showing it off.

I can’t recommend Simon and the team at Shire Driveways and Landscapes enough.

I wanted to share how genuinely impressed I am with the team who recently completed my new block-paved driveway and front area. Living on my own, having work done on your home can sometimes feel a little daunting, but from the very beginning they made the entire experience easy, comfortable, and completely stress-free.

What they achieved in just three days was honestly incredible. I went to work each day and came home to see the progress they had made, and the transformation of the front of my house is amazing. What was once an ordinary space is now a beautifully finished driveway that makes the whole property look smart, welcoming, and something I feel really proud of every time I arrive home.

The team were polite, respectful, and incredibly hardworking. They arrived early each morning, worked tirelessly throughout the day, and kept everything tidy and organised. It was clear they take real pride in their work, and the attention to detail in the block paving is outstanding. Every line is perfectly laid and the finish is absolutely first class.

Just as importantly, Simon wes reassuring, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process. He explained what they were doing, kept me informed, and made sure everything was exactly right. That level of care and respect meant a great deal.

The result has completely transformed the front of my home, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the outcome. It looks fantastic and has made such a positive difference.

These are genuine nice guys, the work was efficient, fast, & as you can see from the photo’s the final product looks amazing. They go above & beyond to exceed customer expectations. I’m a fussy customer with massive attention to detail so was watching closely whilst the guys were working and discussing details throughout, they rebuilt our front wall and the bricklayer finished it really quickly and to a really high standard. They then laid a block edging on the driveway and finished the driveway with tarmac. The finish looks great and is exactly what I was after. They turned it around really quickly and worked long days to get the job done. The pictures speak for themselves I think. Thanks guys.

Kegworth has several public houses, a doctor’s surgery and a village hall that hosts village events and the local playgroup. Kegworth has thriving sports clubs, which include the Kegworth Imperial football club, Kegworth Town Cricket Club and Kegworth Bowls Club. There are two parks with play areas for younger children and a skate park. The village has a library and a museum of local history. One Kegworth community group also organise many village events throughout the year such as the Easter Charter market, Sideley Park family fun day and food festival, and the Christmas market.

Nearby places include Long Eaton, Castle Donington, Sutton Bonington, Ratcliffe on Soar, Zouch, Kingston on Soar and Hathern. The post town is Derby, with the Derby postcode prefix of DE74.

Kegworth is twinned with Bois-Guillaume, a suburban town located on the plateau immediately to the north of Rouen in Normandy, north-western France.
