Marmo Anthracite Porcelain

For this project, Shire Driveways transformed an outdoor space into a stylish and functional patio area, using Marmo Anthracite Porcelain slabs with a light plank border for a sleek contrast.

The client wanted a modern, low-maintenance patio that would complement their outdoor space and provide a durable area for relaxation and entertaining.

The combination of the deep anthracite tones with the light plank edging created a sophisticated and contemporary look, enhancing the overall appearance of the garden.

Challenges & Requirements

The client wanted a modern and elegant patio that would enhance their outdoor space.
A durable and weather-resistant surface was essential for year-round use.
The light plank border was included to add definition and contrast to the dark anthracite slabs.

The Installation Process

Ground Preparation: We began by excavating the area and leveling the ground, ensuring a solid sub-base for long-term stability.
Laying the Marmo Anthracite Porcelain:
- The Marmo Anthracite slabs were carefully positioned to create a seamless, high-end finish.
- Precision spacing and grout application ensured a flawless look.
Adding the Light Plank Border:
- The light plank edging was installed around the patio’s perimeter, creating a striking contrast against the dark anthracite porcelain.
- This added a structured, stylish frame to the patio area.
Final Touches & Sealing: The patio was cleaned and sealed to protect it from the elements, ensuring a long-lasting, easy-to-maintain finish.

The Result

The completed Marmo Anthracite Porcelain Patio has completely transformed the outdoor space, creating a chic, modern, and inviting area. The contrast of the light plank border against the deep anthracite porcelain enhances the design, making it a standout feature in the garden.

Just had Shire Driveways and Landscapes install a driveway and patio in Caramel Latte resin bound gravel. We are very pleased with the result it really has lifted the kerb appeal of the property. The old concrete slab and stones were looking tired and shabby now it looks absolutely amazing. Simon and his team all worked very hard to achieve this final result and many thanks to them all. Five-star service from Simon and the Shire team began with my first phone call, when he actually answered. Other landscaping companies had stolidly ignored my phone and contact form messages. How rude!

Simon came round the same day, and skilfully designed a porcelain-paved garden, easily chasing away all thoughts of us replacing our split-level wooden decking with composite.

His polite and friendly, professional and skilled team have left us with a stylish outdoor living space to be proud of, and I can’t wait to spend the summer enjoying it and showing it off.

I wanted to share how genuinely impressed I am with the team who recently completed my new block-paved driveway and front area. Living on my own, having work done on your home can sometimes feel a little daunting, but from the very beginning they made the entire experience easy, comfortable, and completely stress-free.

What they achieved in just three days was honestly incredible. I went to work each day and came home to see the progress they had made, and the transformation of the front of my house is amazing. What was once an ordinary space is now a beautifully finished driveway that makes the whole property look smart, welcoming, and something I feel really proud of every time I arrive home.

The team were polite, respectful, and incredibly hardworking. They arrived early each morning, worked tirelessly throughout the day, and kept everything tidy and organised. It was clear they take real pride in their work, and the attention to detail in the block paving is outstanding. Every line is perfectly laid and the finish is absolutely first class.

Just as importantly, Simon wes reassuring, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process. He explained what they were doing, kept me informed, and made sure everything was exactly right. That level of care and respect meant a great deal.

The result has completely transformed the front of my home, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the outcome. It looks fantastic and has made such a positive difference.

I’m a fussy customer with massive attention to detail so was watching closely whilst the guys were working and discussing details throughout, they rebuilt our front wall and the bricklayer finished it really quickly and to a really high standard. They then laid a block edging on the driveway and finished the driveway with tarmac. The finish looks great and is exactly what I was after. They turned it around really quickly and worked long days to get the job done. The pictures speak for themselves I think. Thanks guys.
